Our goal with this event is to reach out to the community and let new ideas take shape and strength. In a first of it's kind, we have been allocated a booth at a location in Redmond as part of the Anand Mela Festival, organized by ISKCON. The theme of this booth is *Dharma In The Republic*

About the event

Our vision is inspired by the profound alignment between the eternal principles of Dharma, as laid out in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, and the foundational ideals of the U.S. Constitution. For example:

  • The Gita teaches:“Yogastha kuru karmani, sangam tyaktva dhananjaya”—“Established in yoga, perform your duty, abandoning attachment.” (Gita 2.48)This perfectly echoes the Founders’ belief in self-rule and disciplined duty as the bedrock of a free society.

  • The Constitution begins:“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice…”This commitment to justice and harmony mirrors Dharma’s essence—truth (satya), righteous action (karma yoga), and social coherence.

  • Thomas Jefferson wrote:“The God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed their only firm basis—a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the Gift of God?”This deeply resonates with Sanatana Dharma’s understanding of…
